SENATE REPORT: bin Laden; we had him if we wanted him, let him walk across PAK border

I don’t get it.

Buzz Patterson’s book, Dereliction of Duty, An Eyewitness Account of How Bill Clinton Compromised America’s National Security, describes how “Clinton stalled and lost the opportunity to launch a direct strike on Osama bin Laden at a confirmed location.”

  1. Buzz Patterson is a liar. There’s good money in lying to make Democrats look bad, which is probably the motivation.

The real story is how the Bush administration let bin Laden get away after 9/11. Bin Laden was cornered in Tora Bora and Rumsfeld decided to only make a half-assed attempt to get him.

Not only that, the Bush administration released captured terrorist Ali al-Shihri to Saudi Arabia in 2007. He has since escaped and is now an al-Qaeda leader, responsible for the deadly attack on the U.S. Embassy in Yemen as well as other murders of Americans.

There are good reasons the Democrat-controlled Senate wants you to draw your attention away from them and their inept community organizer for a President.

While they hang out canards such as this report, it keeps your happy little head in the sand and allows you to remain indifferent toward the incompetence coming from the Democrat party, Obama and its supporters.

This leadership is destroying this country and Dems/Libs seem to be just fine with that notion.

Yes, I comprende just fine. I’m aware of when the fiscal year begins.

I’m staring at a mountain of debt which Obama is helping to create and seems to be just fine with it. The dollar is weakening, gold prices are at record levels, the Chinese are beginning to tell our politicians that we cannot afford any more spending programs and we get a slew of more new taxes.

I understand what that will do to our already weakening economy. It will kill it. And when Obama gets his precious health care and cap and trade programs, he’ll bury it.

Yea – I comprende just fine. Are you not capable of seeing what Obama’s brand of politics will do to this country?

If we have complaints about Bush’s spending – and I do – why is it suddenly wise for Obama to keep piling it on?

Oh – I forgot, Obama gets a pass.

    • In case you haven’t noticed, our economy is in a deep slump. Unemployment is over 10%. The only entity big enough to ease the pain is the federal government, and that’s what they’re doing with much of the spending. Letting the economy collapse with create an even bigger deficit since tax revenues will decrease even more.

The Bush debt was accumulated when “the fundamentals of our economy were strong.”

      Context matters.

You don’t get it. A bucket cannot fill itself. The spending must be paid by the people – businesses. If you encourage them to reduce their employees you increase gov’t spending and deficits that must be repaid. The formula doesn’t add up to recovery. It adds up to more problems.

Try fixing your personal budget like that. Sure you’ll spend and charge up those credit cards and it’ll sure look like you’re living the good life, but eventually you must get a job and repay it. Run up the debt too high and no job will solve the repayment problem.

It’s frustrating to try to explain things to you BH. You don’t make sense. You try to blame Bush while glibbly ignoring the Obama debt. Obama brushed aside $272 billion as an insignificant number only a few months ago. As the debt soars we can expect future amounts in the trillions to be just as comparatively insignificant. But it doesn’t matter to you because you THINK you don’t have to repay it it. You do and you will. One way or another.

Most likely when the government defaults. Or hyperinflation takes hold.

        • Yes it seems my old buddy Ben Hoffman has spouted off again on another conservative blog without having any solid evidence to back up his false claims. Whereas Bush started the mountain of debt, Obama is making it worse by multiples.

The thing is, if the spending is easing the economic problems we face, wouldn’t the unemployed rate go down not UP. The sad truth is everything government touches it breaks. The sooner we can get its nits off of our economy, the sooner we get it up and running again.

          • He’s like a drive-by shooter. Just spray out emotionally-laden lib speak and run. Rarely, he will attempt to back up his statements with facts but his comments are mostly opinion.

Because I don’t believe in what the Republican party tells me, I dig for facts on my own. Sometimes I see they’re wrong and adjust my thinking.

But there are some in this country who can’t accept truth and prefer to cling to their version of the world.

            The delusional can’t be reached.

  2. RE:Context matters.

    Obama lies as per usual.

He told us the stimulus bill was supposed to hold unemployment at 8% and that if we didn’t get that bill passed it would go to 9%. It seems to me that if he would have done nothing, he could have saved us more billions we couldn’t afford to spend in the first place.

Clearly these economic predictions have been significantly falsified.

It would appear Obama doesn’t know what he’s doing. Maybe he should take your advice and pick up a newspaper and read it.

I don’t read newspapers because the majority of them are biased toward the empty headed thinking on the left, which is why when a liberal picks one up, the first thing they do is go for the cartoons.

    Hey, don’t you draw?
